I have a confession and I'm kind of embarrassed about it but I really, really, really love this song.
Do any of you secretly - or not so secretly - love a little Justin Bieber?
It's been an interesting week. Lots of changes and decisions being made in the Vid household. I'll be back tomorrow with some news. Hope you've all had a great week!
I am playing along again this week with the Top 2 Tuesday put on by The Undomestic Mama!
Here are my Top 2 Favorite Styles!
I absolutely love Nicole Richie's Style!
I think she's beautiful. She can take something so simple and pull it together to make it look chic. She's also always on top of what's trendy but continues to turn trend into class. Love, love, love her!
I also adore Kim Kardashain! I think she's gorgeous and always stunning!
I've had a crackberry Blackberry for about 2 years now.. I have loved it. Although, recently I stopped receiving emails on my phone. Now, I'm in the process of wedding planning, selling a house, and searching for a new one.. I am in constant contact via email with Real Estate Agents and our Vendors and all of my work related emails (Financial Services, not my day job) go to my BB as well. I never log into my actually email account. Ever. So imagine my surprise and frustration when I do log into my email because I find it odd that i have not received ONE email in 5 days on my BB to find an inbox FULL. We're taking 256 unread messages in the past 5 days. I waltzed my little bum into Verizon last night before a meeting that started at 7 and asked them to fix it.. I then heard these dreaded words:
Verizon Dude: Ma'am, I'm sorry but I can't fix it.. Me: What? VD: Ya, it's an internal issue with the BB. Me: Well it's insured so just send me a new one... VD: Well, you've owned it for over a year, so I can't.. The warranty is up. Me: Okay, that's fine I bought insurance on it for the lifetime of the phone.. VD: Ya, but they'll send you a refurbished phone and technically you'd have to lose it.. Me: You're joking, right? VD: No, I'm not.. So this convo went on for a while and basically he told me my phone is shot regarding the email configuration (whatever that means?) and I'd be paying a $50.00 deductible for them to send me a REFURBISHED phone... He also explained that my Dad stole my upgrade and I wasn't due for one until July! So back story here.. I'm on my own account but I listed my mom as an authority on the account so if anything ever happened that I couldn't take care of she'd be able to for me... Well she used this to her advantage and used my upgrade last year when my dad broke his phone. I forgot she did this... Good news - My mom also has ME listed as the authority on her account... So I used my dad's upgrade to get a new BB Tour!
So, I'm back in business and I am in LOVE with the Tour. How I ever went with the smaller keyboard on the Pearl I'll never know!
I will be the first to admit that I hate surprises. This probably makes me the most difficult person to surprise. If I sense anything at all is out of the ordinary I want to know exactly what is going on. I just hate not knowing what to expect. With that being said.. Mr.Vid has always had quite a hard time surprising me. He loves to surprise me but knows how crazy it makes me if I know a surprise is coming.
As some of you may know we have season tickets to the Portland Trail Blazers! We LOVE going to the games and plan to continue the tradition once we have children with out them. It'll be our date night. We'll sell a lot more games but we'll still go! Well, last night we had a game. I rushed home as usual, ate really quickly, changed and we were out the door. We get downtown and make our way to the Rose Garden. Something you should know - I hate being responsible for our tickets. I always forget them. Mr.Vid always holds the tickets. We get through the gates as Mr.Vid has had our tickets scanned... If I had them I would have noticed what is about to come earlier. The following conversation occurs:
Mr.Vid: I'm going to run to the bathroom.. (Which is not uncommon) Me: okay, I'll go sit down in our seats.. (also, not uncommon) Mr.Vid: Why don't you just wait here for me.. Me: Okay.
He comes out of the bathroom and starts walking the wrong way! Keep in mind we came in the same door we always do and I usually go to our seats by myself. So I know he is walking the wrong way... The conversation continues:
Me: Uh babe, you're going the wrong way... Mr.Vid: I want to go say hi to Don and Rhonda... Me: Can't we see them at half time? (I like to watch pre-game and know if we say hi we'll miss a few min of the first quarter) Mr.Vid: No, we're right here lets just go real quick.. Me: You go, I want to go sit down.. Mr.Vid: Rhonda really wanted to see you.. Me: We just saw them Saturday... Mr.Vid: I'm going to tell her you didn't want to say hi.. Me: Fine, lets go. (I'm cursing him under my breath at this point.. I was cranky, I'll admit it.)
We get up there and Don and Rhonda are not there..
Me: Okay they're not here.. We'll see them at the half. Mr.Vid: Well, actually, we'll see them when they get here because these are our seats tonight.. (He got the seats right next to theirs for the game. Moving us down from 310 to 226..)
Insert shock on my face and a huge grin on Mr.Vid's. I was a happy camper! Turns out he got the tickets Sunday and sold ours the same day.. He's a little sneaky when he wants to be.
I liked this surprise.
These guys look like toy's you get from McDonalds from our seats.. From where we sat last night they looked HUGE. It was so fun to sit down there and I hope we do more often!
Can I just say that prepping a home for sale is horrible... We have made the decision to place our Mr.Vid's house on the market. We I'm ready to move on to bigger and better things in life. Truth is I've been living with him for a year and still don't feel like it's home... He loves the house but does agree that it's time to move on. So for those of you who have never had to sell a home let me just tell you what it entails... The following is our "to-do" list for this week.
1) Take pictures of our old furniture price and then place on Craigslist.
2) Remove big and bulky pieces of furniture and take to the nearest dump storage.
3) Pack up all personal items and place in storage..
4) Basically remove anything personal from our home and live in an unpersonalized space for who knows how long??
Hopefully in just a matter of weeks we'll be sporting one of these in our front yard!
I know this time frame is not realistic in today's economy but I'm hopeful!
My week is going to be BUSY. We are meeting with our Mortgage Broker on Wednesday night to get our pre-approval done for our loan. We're already in the process of looking for a new home and I can not wait until we find the perfect place.
I hope you've had a great weekend and a happy Monday.
3. How long did you know each other before you started dating?
We pretty much just fell into it. We decided after about 4 months though that we definetly didn't want to see other people.
4. Who asked who out?
We we met online. My former boss put me on a site because I was not 21 so I couldn't meet men at bars, nor would a bar be an ideal place to meet me for me either, and she felt I was to mature to date guys my own age. We talked for about 2 months online before we met. He happened to call me one night after he'd finished playing golf (he works at the course in my home town) and said he was headed to Fred Meyer to get beer... I was there buying shampoo. We met for the first time in the shampoo aisle :) We went to dinner from their and the rest is history.
