Santa Baby, and it's a New Year, basically the past two weeks have been a blur!

Wow, we've been BUSY!!! Santa has come and gone and I must admit he was GOOD to me! :) I'm a lucky girl.

Mr. Vid bought me a beautiful Coach Purse. The Signature Alex to be exact. As well as the Penolope Plum zip wallet. :) He loves me.

Mr. Vid's parents bought me Uggs and misc. stuff.

My parents bought me new sheets that I've been wanting :) as well as a bunch of misc. stuff..

Siblings pretty much exchanged sweaters this year ;) Good xmas for us.

We are booking our wedding photographer TODAY!! She's amazing. Love her love her love her!!!

I sat down with my RVP this morning to refocus on my goals for 2010. Over the holiday's I had lost a lot of focus and needed to get back on track. (This is for Life Insurance, Home Owners, Auto, Pre-Paid Legal, Loans, and Debt Watchers sales.. I do this on the side and hope to go full time by JUNE of this year!!!) Love doing this and HATE my current FT job. This company that I work for is AMAZING. We help so many families and it's just amazing.

Bought my wedding gown!!

Hope to track down someone at the Church we want to have our ceremony this month.

This is the last 2-3 weeks in review here in the Vid household.

Sorry, I have been so MIA the past few weeks.

Goals for 2010:

1. Full Time Agent by June.

2. Get my booty in tip-top shape! 30 Day Shred anyone??

3. Stick to our Budget - Mr.Vid has us on a tight budget to save for our wedding/honeymoon/future. He's a smart man. :) This means minimize my shopping addiction.

4. More cooking at home and eating healthy!! We've done good with this so far. We have BOTH cut out Pop, white bread, white pasta, and processed sugar from our diets. Only whole grain here.

5. More ME time.. I've vowed to treat myself at LEAST once a month to a Pedi. This has been hard for me the past few months. I used to go once every two weeks but the past few months I've been doing it at home. This doesn't give me the time I need to unwind by myself.

6. Become a better blogger. I've been reading blogs for about a year now and trying to become an avid blogger myself but I don't set time aside to do it.. I'm going to try to blog about 3 to 4 times a week at the least!

7. Be a better girlfriend to my girlfriends. My two best friends and I have reflected lately and realized that we really don't see each other enough. We're all kind of focused on our personal lives right now that we've disconnected. This makes me incredibly sad. We're all to blame but we've all vowed to adjust this and make more time for each other.

8. Be a better Aunt. I love my neice and nephew so very much. They're amazing children but I don't spend enough quality time with them. I spend time with them but I don't feel that the time I spend with them is really doing things that THEY want to do. For instance I don't stop what I'm doing to read them a book when they want it. Or stop what I'm doing to play lions with them or hide and seek.. I'll play but just long enough for them to be satisfied not long enough for them to fully enjoy it. This I've realized recently.

9. Be a better fiance. Mr. Vid is the most amazing man in the world and I need to be more attentive. He bends over backward to please me and I don't do that enough for him. My goal is to unwind WITH him when I get home from work and not so much unwind with the bathtub. Typically I walk in the door say a quick hello and go take a bath. This is my method of unwinding from an intense day. He's already had 2 hours to unwind before I get home and when I walk through the door he typically wants me to unwind with him rather than without him. I'm going to work really hard on changing my method of unwinding.. Or atleast adjusting it a bit.

10. Read more. I love to read and haven't done as much of it lately as I'd like to. This is something I'd like to change.

Those are my top goals for 2010. I hope you've all had a great start to a new year. How many of you have put too much of your energy into unimportant things this past year? I know I have.

Weekend Wrap Up!

This weekend we had a lot going on! Friday night we went to my parents for dinner and then joined a group of friends at Wankers for one of my best friend's birthday!

We had planned on going downtown after Wankers and all of us did, except the birthday girl. She had a little too much fun at Wankers and was not allowed into any of the bars downtown. This shortened our night quite a bit.

Saturday Morning Mr. Vid had to work for a couple of hours.. When he got home we got up around and then headed over to my parents house for Christmas with my Mom's Mom and Step-dad. Only one of my Mom's 3 siblings were able to make it this year but a couple of my cousins were there. We enjoyed each others company and had some great food. My Grandpa makes jewlery. Really awesome jewelery. He makes quite a bit of things out of turqouise and other really neat stones. This year he made all of the little ones something. He did this often when my sister, cousins, and I were little. This year there were only 4 little kids. My niece and nephew and my cousins 2 kids. For my niece he made a necklace and mathing earings. For the boys he made belt buckles. I wish I had pictures of these because they're amazing.

Saturday evening Mr. Vid and I met up with who we believe will be our wedding photographer (loved her!!). On our way home we went to Gustav's and had fondue and a beer. This hit the spot. Then we came home to cuddle up and watch Chevy Chase's Christmas Vacation. Last year the Saturday before Christmas we watched Chevy Chase's Christmas Vacation and we did this year as well. We decided this will be a tradition in our house. The Saturday before Christmas we'll stay in and watch this movie. We love it.

This morning I got up and went to my parents to get my dad. We went Christmas shopping for my mom. Most years my dad sends me out to get all my Mom's gifts. This year I made him come with me and I'm so glad that I did. We really enjoyed our time together.

This afternoon has been one of relaxation. Mr. Vid and I ran out for a quick bite at Olive Garden (we're regulars there) and now we're home watching football.

I hope everyone had a great weekend. I'll be back tomorrow with details on our Photographer.

It's a great day to be a Blazer!

Last night the Blazers played the Pheonix Suns! The Suns are one of the best teams in the NBA this year. Recently, the Blazers have lost 5 of our key players and hadn't been playing all that great. Tuesday night we opted out of going to the game because I did not feel well. We watched the game from our couch and as season ticket holders this is a rare ocassion. They won.

Yesterday, I left work early and went home to take a nap as I had a really bad head ache. Mr. Vid woke me up at 5 and had dinner sitting on the table for me. We ate and then left to meet our friends Jeff and Sarah for a few drinks before the game. I still had a head ache. Tylenol wasn't touching this thing. Typically the games are broadcasted on our local stations and occasionally on TNT. Last night was a TNT game and these always run late. The game was scheduled to start at 730 and actually started at 745. I was expecting it to start around 8 so this didn't bother me. Anyway, fast forward to 10, my head is still killing me and it's getting worse. The 3rd period ends we're down by 15 and Mr. Vid and I decide to leave. We get to the car and turn the radio on The Game (the station broadcasts all Blazers games) and we're with in 6. Mr. Vid is not happy. Then we're with in 2, then we're up 2... Now Mr. Vid is really uphappy. We made it home to watch the celebration on TV but it is not the same as being there and watching the biggest come back of the season live. We buy season tickets to go to games that END like last nights game ended and we missed it...

We will never leave a game early again..

The Date!

Finally Mr. Vid and I have set a date!! If you have read the proposal story you'll know that we had thought we'd tie the know on 09-10-11 but the Country Club had other plans. Mr. Vid is the Assistant Superintendent on the greens at a Country Club in my home town. They're giving us a KILLER deal for the big day. And when I say KILLER I mean KILLER! We are getting everything at cost. Yes, you read that right, at cost! So the 09-10-11 date they'd said we could certainly have but we'd need to pick a secondary date due to the fact that we'll be paying substatially less than what they could get for the date and it will likely be a hot date. At first we didn't see this as a big issue. As time goes on, however, I am stressing out about the fact that we'll have to put a deposit down for 2 dates for the photographer and the church.. So after many discussions we decided that we'd rather not deal with the hassel or stress of that and we've set the date for May 7, 2011! I'm much happier with this date. September 2011 was just to far away!

I think we may have found who we want to photograph the wedding as well. That's a whole other post though. After all I do need other things to blog about considering the conversation that Mr.Vid and I just had...

Mr.V: "Do you even have any followers?" - How he knows what followers are I don't know.
Me: "Yes, I actually have four!"
Mr.V: "How are we ever going to get our own sitcom if you only have 4 followers?"
Me: "Well, I've only had ONE post. Give me a break!"
Mr.V: "Get on it girl!"

Oh my darling Fiance thinks he is so funny.
