Happy Day of Pressure.

Oh, Valentine's Day is among us. I couldn't help but giggle yesterday while walking through the grocery store and noticing that there were about 45 men trying to get to the V-Day cards.

My man wasn't one of them.  We have a strict no V-day rule in our house. Yes, I am that girl. The girl who doesn't believe in celebrating your love for your spouse or significant other just one day a year. I'm not the girl who wants flowers or candy on a day when Mr. feels like he has to give me flowers or candy. I am the same way with my birthday.
I guess you could say that Valentine's Day is a bit to cliche for me.

I am, however, all for surprises and Mr. is very good at surprising me.  For instance last Monday was the 3 month mark to our wedding.  He had collaborated with our amazing Florist to have an arrangement delivered to me at work with a sweet little card to let me know he was thinking about me on our 3 month marker.  He wanted me to know how excited he is to make me his wife. My heart stopped. It was the sweetest thing I think anyone has ever done. You can see the arrangement here. Go like her FB page too while you're at it :) She's amazing. (I totally just gave away our first names by posting that link!)

Or Thursday evening when he came home and handed me a king size recess peanut butter cup pack and said "I have a surprise for you!!" the man knows me well and knows how much I love chocolate! :D

So today, we will not be celebrating Valentine's Day. Instead we'll be spending the evening with my sister, brother-in-law, niece and nephew celebrating my brother-in-law's 28th birthday! I made Gluten Free cupcakes! :)

I hope you all have a wonderful day!

  1. First off, that arrangement is absolutely STUNNING! Oh my word - if that is any indication of what the flowers at your wedding are going to look like, it's going to be TO DIE FOR!
Secondly, how stinkin' sweet of your fiance to do that! Seriously, so very thoughtful!

    Happy Valentines to you!
