This weekend we had a lot going on! Friday night we went to my parents for dinner and then joined a group of friends at Wankers for one of my best friend's birthday!

We had planned on going downtown after Wankers and all of us did, except the birthday girl. She had a little too much fun at Wankers and was not allowed into any of the bars downtown. This shortened our night quite a bit.

Saturday Morning Mr. Vid had to work for a couple of hours.. When he got home we got up around and then headed over to my parents house for Christmas with my Mom's Mom and Step-dad. Only one of my Mom's 3 siblings were able to make it this year but a couple of my cousins were there. We enjoyed each others company and had some great food. My Grandpa makes jewlery. Really awesome jewelery. He makes quite a bit of things out of turqouise and other really neat stones. This year he made all of the little ones something. He did this often when my sister, cousins, and I were little. This year there were only 4 little kids. My niece and nephew and my cousins 2 kids. For my niece he made a necklace and mathing earings. For the boys he made belt buckles. I wish I had pictures of these because they're amazing.

Saturday evening Mr. Vid and I met up with who we believe will be our wedding photographer (loved her!!). On our way home we went to Gustav's and had fondue and a beer. This hit the spot. Then we came home to cuddle up and watch Chevy Chase's Christmas Vacation. Last year the Saturday before Christmas we watched Chevy Chase's Christmas Vacation and we did this year as well. We decided this will be a tradition in our house. The Saturday before Christmas we'll stay in and watch this movie. We love it.

This morning I got up and went to my parents to get my dad. We went Christmas shopping for my mom. Most years my dad sends me out to get all my Mom's gifts. This year I made him come with me and I'm so glad that I did. We really enjoyed our time together.

This afternoon has been one of relaxation. Mr. Vid and I ran out for a quick bite at Olive Garden (we're regulars there) and now we're home watching football.

I hope everyone had a great weekend. I'll be back tomorrow with details on our Photographer.

It's a great day to be a Blazer!

Last night the Blazers played the Pheonix Suns! The Suns are one of the best teams in the NBA this year. Recently, the Blazers have lost 5 of our key players and hadn't been playing all that great. Tuesday night we opted out of going to the game because I did not feel well. We watched the game from our couch and as season ticket holders this is a rare ocassion. They won.

Yesterday, I left work early and went home to take a nap as I had a really bad head ache. Mr. Vid woke me up at 5 and had dinner sitting on the table for me. We ate and then left to meet our friends Jeff and Sarah for a few drinks before the game. I still had a head ache. Tylenol wasn't touching this thing. Typically the games are broadcasted on our local stations and occasionally on TNT. Last night was a TNT game and these always run late. The game was scheduled to start at 730 and actually started at 745. I was expecting it to start around 8 so this didn't bother me. Anyway, fast forward to 10, my head is still killing me and it's getting worse. The 3rd period ends we're down by 15 and Mr. Vid and I decide to leave. We get to the car and turn the radio on The Game (the station broadcasts all Blazers games) and we're with in 6. Mr. Vid is not happy. Then we're with in 2, then we're up 2... Now Mr. Vid is really uphappy. We made it home to watch the celebration on TV but it is not the same as being there and watching the biggest come back of the season live. We buy season tickets to go to games that END like last nights game ended and we missed it...

We will never leave a game early again..

The Date!

Finally Mr. Vid and I have set a date!! If you have read the proposal story you'll know that we had thought we'd tie the know on 09-10-11 but the Country Club had other plans. Mr. Vid is the Assistant Superintendent on the greens at a Country Club in my home town. They're giving us a KILLER deal for the big day. And when I say KILLER I mean KILLER! We are getting everything at cost. Yes, you read that right, at cost! So the 09-10-11 date they'd said we could certainly have but we'd need to pick a secondary date due to the fact that we'll be paying substatially less than what they could get for the date and it will likely be a hot date. At first we didn't see this as a big issue. As time goes on, however, I am stressing out about the fact that we'll have to put a deposit down for 2 dates for the photographer and the church.. So after many discussions we decided that we'd rather not deal with the hassel or stress of that and we've set the date for May 7, 2011! I'm much happier with this date. September 2011 was just to far away!

I think we may have found who we want to photograph the wedding as well. That's a whole other post though. After all I do need other things to blog about considering the conversation that Mr.Vid and I just had...

Mr.V: "Do you even have any followers?" - How he knows what followers are I don't know.
Me: "Yes, I actually have four!"
Mr.V: "How are we ever going to get our own sitcom if you only have 4 followers?"
Me: "Well, I've only had ONE post. Give me a break!"
Mr.V: "Get on it girl!"

Oh my darling Fiance thinks he is so funny.

The Proposal!

Obviously, we had been talking about marraige for a while. We had talked about time frames and potential dates we both liked... 09/10/11 happened to be be one of them.. He took it a bit further with the numbers thing. 09/10/11 will be the day we say I do, I will walk down the aisle at 12:13 (he still hasn't talked me into this part) he propsed 14 months and 15 days after our first date and he did it at 16:17pm military time.

So now that you know how the numbers line up.. He had planned a sweet way to propose at home but I insisted we go to the mall before our Blazer game and run some errands.. So we were at the mall, actually leaving, and I put my bags in the trunk he shuts the trunk and follows me around the passenger side of the car. He is cradling something in his hand but I'm clueless and confused as to why he isn't getting in the drivers seat and getting ready to leave.. He then moves his top hand and and I see the ring. My reaction was "Are you kidding me? Here? Now? In a parking lot? Really, Adam? This has to be a joke!"... rambled on a bit longer about him pulling my leg and even looked for cameras and Ashton Kutcher to pop out on a non celeb version of punk'd. He, in the mean time, spits out "Marry Me!" and I keep on with the rambling. he then tells me he can take the ring back and I realize that he's not joking and he's really proposing and even if this is in a parking lot I'd better say yes if I want to marry him... So eventually I say yes.

My entire family knew. I called my mom because we were seconds away from her (where Sarah,my sister, works as well) office and we went to show them the ring and tell them the news, or so I thought. Everyone was happy.

The Blazers won too so it ended up being a perfect night.
