The Hardest Part...

The hardest part of Wedding planning by far, with out a doubt, hands down, is the guest list.. Ugh, what a nightmare it has been for us to sit down and hash out the guest list. We've dreaded this portion of wedding planning since the day we got engaged and now I realize why! I am pleased to announce that we're done!

Hallelujah!

My mom told me over the weekend that I have her "if there is a will there is a way" attitude.  She said this is the thing she is most proud of me for.  If I set my mind to do something I will accomplish it.

Adam and I have been talking a lot lately about our post wedding plans. I'll be honest - we want a baby, or four. However, I want to finish my education and work for a year or two before we add sleepless nights into the mix. So I will do just that.  Fall of 2011 I will return to school full time and begin working part time.  I could not be more excited to finish my education. I never thought I would be excited to go back to school.  I am so thankful that Adam and I see eye to eye on this even if his mother and my father may have a bad case of grand-baby fever - they'll just have to wait.  I've got a degree to obtain first!

Happy Tuesday!

Weekend Recap..

This weekend Adam went to....

For his brother Andy's bachelor party!

While he was away playing with the boys Bri, Allison and I had plans of our own.. Wedding prep :)
Us girls had plans to meet at my parents house bright and early Saturday morning.  I heard the knock at the door and opened it to find the two best girlfriends I could ever ask for holding

one of these with my name on it! :)

Great way to start our Saturday.  We then headed downtown from there to check out our local Flower Market... We got down town at about 11 to find that they were closed! They close at 10AM! Can you  believe that?! So we decided to go grab lunch while I google searched more wholesale floral in Portland.. I found nothing.  We decided to make a day of it and head to Nordstrom Rack for the afternoon.

We all walked out with good buys. Then we all headed to Brianne's house to get ready together to see....

that handsome man in concert!

Love and Theft opened up for Lady Antebellum who opened up for Tim.
After the concert we went to a local bar called Dukes to party a little longer.
We had a great night.

Sunday my mom and I ran to Michael's to find floral tape and then to the store and bought a bouquet of roses.
We made a small bouquet and were pleased with the way it turned out.
So now I am determined to do our own floral for the wedding!
We should save a lot of money by doing this ourselves.
It was super easy too!
Then I relaxed at my parents house until I got to go get Adam from the airport!

We both had great weekends!

Up to my ears..

Hello Ladies! I have been a bit out of the loop lately.  Now that we're under a year until the big day I've been up to my ears in wedding planning!

Question for all of you married ladies.

Did you have your hair and make-up done for your wedding?
Was it worth the money?

I have found an amazing woman who does both but she's rather spendy and requires that at least 3 additional women have hair or make-up done for Saturday Wedding's.. I'm trying to decide if it's worth it to bite the bullet and offer to pay for half of my BM's hair OR make-up...?

What did you do to cut cost?
Happy Hump Day!

May 7, 2011

Today marks 1 year until I walk down the aisle and marry my best friend.
I can not believe how quickly the last 6 months have gone by and I know the next 12 will soar past me as well.
This morning Adam woke up to a card in his drawer.  I wanted him to know how excited I am to become his wife.  I also wanted him to know how much I appreciate him.  I think there are days that I forget to tell him how thankful I am for all he does for me.

This weekend we have plans to celebrate a special birthday for a friend of ours and relax. It's been a long couple of weeks and we're so looking forward to laying low with good company.
I'll leave you with this:

I love you, Adam!

Proof that I spend too much time and money at Starbucks.

Scene - Starbucks which just so happens to be directly across the street from my work.. I walk in and there are  2 guys in front of me one of the two is ordering.

Barista 1: "130 degree chi tea latte.."
Me: Odd look and thinking to myself that I thought I was the only one weird enough to order that.
2 guys finish ordering.
Barista 2: What can I get you?
Me: I'd like a 130 degree -
Steven (Manager): Hey Karli, here's your chi... I saw you coming!
Me to Barista 2: What he said...

Yes, they know me by name and yes they know my drink order and prepare it before I even walk in the door... Amazing!

Top 2 Tuesday - Splurges

I love Taylor's top 2 Tuesday pick this week.
Your Top 2 Splurges!
Now if you asked Adam he'd say Clothes...

I would have to agree - to an extent.

1) Jeans! I spend a decent amount of my money on Jeans! I love jeans.  I believe that spending $150 - $200 on jeans is well worth it. I wear on a daily basis Seven's, Citizens, Joe's, Hudson's and Paige Premiums. These jeans are so comfortable and they last forever!

I do however, love Kohl's, Target, Old Navy and, my personal favorite, Nordstrom Rack to find cute tops!

2) Starbucks.  I love me some coffee.  This is one of my splurges that I hope to change after the wedding. I've registered for a coffee maker! :)

Happy Tuesday!
